What a great day we had in Perth yesterday. Started the day training with the Freo Pod on the river at 5.30, training hard with a great crew of paddlers as the sun comes up is gold and the best start to the day.
At training we had the 2018 All Star 14 x 24.5, 26 and 28 for demo with amazing improvements in the boards for 2018 backed with dominant results overseas in the Euro Tour by Boothy. The All Stars are definitely the number one board of choice for paddling flat water and downwinding.
To finish the day as well as it started Marco and I got out for a short session with some fun chest high waves. We managed to get out on the new 2018 8’10” x 32” Wide Point and the 2018 9’6” x 31.5” Hypernut.
The new Wide Points have undergone a big refinement by aiming at more surfability and rail to rail transition, while the largest Hypernut provides more glide and volume for heavier riders.
It doesn’t get much better than seeing the sun rise and set while getting out for a SUP.
Pop into our Osborne Park store, see the new range and arrange a demo.
If you can't manage to get down to the store you can check out the new range in the 2018 Starboard SUP Catalogue - See Below
2017 Euro Tour Champion and ISA Worlds Distance Champion Michael Booth (pictured) set a new standard for the Paddle Fit Challenge, now leading the pack on 145.2 meters. Only 2 weeks left to practice before finals night! Learning how to turn and steer...well your in luck! Here are some top tips on getting going.
Top Tip - More strokes on one side of the board will make you move in that direction. Experiment with weighting your feet in order to speed up the turn.

The stand up paddle demo fleet headed down to dutch inn on Sunday. The Small sets coming through provided a fanatastic opportunity for our new comers to get the stoke of catching their first ever wave!
The new starboard element and converse shapes in 9'0" and 9'8" were also out on the water with riders super positive about the new shapes.
